Introduction
Welcome to Collector’s Edition. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our iOS application. We built this app with a simple principle: your collection belongs to you, and so does the data about it.
What We Collect
We collect the minimum data needed for the app to work — and almost everything stays on your device.
Collection Data
Your collection — item names, photos, purchase prices, conditions, categories, and notes — is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, it also syncs to your private iCloud container so you can access it across your devices.
This data never reaches our servers. We do not have one. We cannot read your collection, and neither can anyone else.
Subscription Status
If you subscribe to Collector’s Edition Pro, our subscription partner receives an anonymous identifier and your subscription status (active, expired, country code). This is how we know whether to unlock Pro features. No name, email, Apple ID, or collection data is shared.
Photos and Camera
The app requests Photo Library access to attach images to your items, and Camera access for the barcode scanner. Photos you select are stored with your collection. The barcode scanner does not save images.
What We Don’t Collect
We want to be specific about this, because most apps don’t make it easy to tell. Collector’s Edition does not collect:
- Your name, email, phone number, or any contact information
- Your location
- Advertising identifiers
- Usage analytics, behavioral data, or crash reports tied to you
- Browsing or search history
The app contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar), no social login, and no tracking pixels. We have no plans to add any.

Future Features (eBay Price Lookup)
In a future version (v1.1), we plan to add optional eBay price lookups for your items. When this ships, you will be asked to opt in. Only the item name or barcode is sent to look up a price — no personal data, no link to your identity. This section will be updated when the feature is released.
Trademark Notice
Collector’s Edition is an independent tool for collectors. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, Bandai Namco, Konami, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, or any other rights holder of collectible properties. All trademarks, product names, and character names belong to their respective owners. You enter your own collection data; we do not provide licensed brand content.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. It is rated 4+ in the App Store and has no in-app messaging, social features, or external links to third-party content.
Your Rights
Because we don’t store your data on our servers:
- There’s no account to delete — there is no account
- There’s no data we can export to you — your iCloud data is already yours through Apple
- To remove everything: delete the app, then clear its iCloud data in iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage
If you’re in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you can still contact us under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA to confirm we hold no data about you.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The Effective Date at the top will reflect any changes, and material changes will be announced inside the app.
